I still get lots of calls regarding public and private boat trips, so here’s what is possible right now, through to Easter. A full service from all operators will be started in April.
Please note that we do not run regular scheduled public trips – the following is information about other boat operators, given in the best of faith but of course you’ll need to check with the individual companies for the latest operational details about canal boat trips in Little Venice.
PUBLIC BOAT TRIPS
London Waterbus Company run a winter timetable on Saturdays and Sundays, leaving Little Venice at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 for the Zoo and Camden, returning from Camden at 12:00, 14:15 and 16:00. Please check for any updates at www.londonwaterbus.com for the latest information, but normally you can turn up and pay on the boat – no prior bookings unless for large groups. If the weather is really nice there may be additional services to the above.
A full London Waterbus timetable, 7 days a week, starts on or around 1st April.
Jasons Trip – restart daily operations on Saturday 5th April 2014. Online booking is possible at wwww.jasons.co.uk.
The Floating Boater operate Lapwing (12 seats) and The Prince Regent (up to 60 passengers) for private parties from their moorings at Paddington. Contact Laura at www.floatingboater.co.uk
Also check www.theelectricbarge.co.uk for availability of The Electric Barge for larger groups, and Walkers Quay, www.walkersquay.com for boats based at Camden. Both of these companies operate year round, subject to maintenance.
And of course our very own LADY A is available every day for private bookings for up to 12 people. A private cruise can work out not much more expensive than taking a seat on a public trip, so why not ask for a quotation?
