Book now for the the summer. - its getting very busy!
On a London sightseeing canal boat cruise you will enter our fascinating yet relatively unknown world of history, nature, boating and relaxation as we cruise along the historic Regent’s Canal, passing many features which date back to the early 1800’s and seeing the beautiful canalside properties of Maida Vale and Paddington as well as the superb old working narrowboats which still carry passengers and coal through this busy stretch of urban waterway.
The emphasis of a sightseeing cruise is for a quick but memorable visit to Little Venice, seeing canal-side properties, learning about the history with a commentary and although you can bring refreshments we ask that this is kept to a manageable quantity to avoid wastage at the end of your trip. We recommend booking a longer Party Picnic cruise if the emphasis is on celebrations rather than tourism.
One hour sightseeing cruise will start at our home base in Blomfield Road, Little Venice and head east through the affluent residential area of Maida Vale, passing colourful canal boats on our way to the Maida Hill Tunnel. Experience a trip through the tunnel which is 250 metres long and learn how the old horse drawn narrowboats used to be pushed through by the boatmen using their legs before emerging into the Lisson Grove area where we will turn around for the trip back to Little Venice. We pass our starting point and head through Little Venice for Paddington where we will pass the entrance the modern Paddington Station and enter Paddington Basin, originally the warehousing area for delivering cargo by boat but now the home of many well known companies. We turn in Paddington Basin to return to our starting point.
A one hour cruise in Little Venice costs £140 for your entire party Why do you need a longer trip when there’s so much to see on a day out in London! We can take you all the way to Camden for a one way trip if you prefer, for an additional £30, subject to availability and not usually at weekends..
When you charter the boat for a London sightseeing canal boat cruise it is exclusively yours – nobody else will join you so you can enjoy the additional space all to yourselves making the most of your day out.
A complimentary commentary can be provided to make the occasion extra special. You’re welcome to bring a coffee or tea too and why not bring a few snacks too - just not too much as we don’t have a lot of time for setting up.
Only one or two in your party? OK don’t worry – we have just the deal for you! Check out our Private Cruises for Two or phone 07899 800856 for details of a very special deal for smaller parties of just one or two and check availability of our Private Canal Cruise for Two with us.
